Mujhko teray khayaal se wehshat kabhi na thi
es darja be-adab ye tabiyat kabhi na thi

had hai usi k pass hai kirdaar ki sanad
jiski tamaam shehar main izzat kabhi na thi

yaroun dua karo ye koe hadsa na ho
pehlay u intazaar main lazzat kabhi na thi

ya tu jafaaen aapki had se gozar gaaen
ya pher hamain sazaaoun ki adat kabhi na thi

Jazib gham-e-hayaat ki talkhi zuban pe hai
warna hamain jahan se shikayat kabhi na thi
